Summary
NILUS is a technology company focused on developing solutions to restore mountain ecosystems and mitigate the effects of climate change. NILUS is focused on the positive impact on communities, glaciers, education and the generation of awareness in the population about the importance of natural resources and specifically water resources.
The solution captures water from a natural source and accumulates it in a solid state by irrigating structures called “Ice Stupas” for later use during the summer. The irrigation, location and geometry of these structures are optimized to maximize water accumulation and lengthen its melting cycle.
