Ralph Benson
Ralph Benson is co-founder of the Chile California Conservation Exchange. Over his career he served as executive director of the Sonoma Land Trust (2003-2015) where he led the organization through a period of exceptional, financially solid growth with major enduring land conservation achievements on the Sonoma Coast, San Pablo Bay and throughout Sonoma County; and as general counsel, executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Trust for Public Land (1979-2003) where he played a leading role in building TPL into one of America’s premier land conservation organizations focusing on land for people. Earlier in his career Ralph was a land use attorney in Southern California. He has degrees from Occidental College, UCLA and the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. Ralph lives in Berkeley, California.
