#CCCBulletTalks – Bureo
The #CCCBulletTalks is a new format from the Chile California Council to share information and stay connected.
This first edition is dedicated to the concept of Circular Economy and its potential applications in the development of projects that generate a triple positive impact, at an economic, social, and environmental level. This is part of the long-term work of the CCC to highlight initiatives that promote a positive impact on people and nature, in moving towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
On this occasion, we delve into a Chilefornian B company called Bureo, that has created a line of products (such as skateboards, sunglasses, and even Jenga) made entirely with recycled plastic from discarded fishing nets, a material that represents around 10% of ocean plastic pollution. Much of its operation takes place in Chile, and its creators have highlighted the benefits of the Chilean coasts and fishermen to enhance this work.
